The little things that annoy the heck out of me that only some would even catch or know of...

Example: On Fox news they announced that an upcoming segment would have the host going for a flight with the Thunderbirds....with the theme of TOP GUN playing as they went to commercial.....then they introduce the segment with the "I feel the need , the need for speed" scene from TOP GUN....then while the host is talking about his experience he said "I didn't want be Goose" referencing the scene from TOP GUN when Goose ejected and died.

Thunderbirds = Airforce

TOP GUN = NAVY

Almost as bad as folks spelling ORDNANCE as ORDINANCE

.......I could care less about the 45 Colt/Long Colt disagreement that spawned never ending marathon threads going on right now....if some want to call it Long Colt just deal with it.....but some stuff really peeves me.

I woke up in such a good mood ......where's my second mug of coffee 😅

When the writer doesn't know the difference between their or they're or there.

Or saying prolly instead of probably.

Or not using spellcheck or proof-reading.

(funny story - I was accused of doing the same thing. I wrote a memo that was distributed among the VPs and even the CEO. Before e-mail so hard copies were mailed. I was out of town when the secretary finished, so SHE proof read her own typing. One of the words was "pens", and she didn't catch the extra "i". The CEO read it before the error was caught and he called MY boss and asked if I was ****ing around over there.)

Oh lort, there are any number of things. Over the years I’ve come to believe I’m a bit OCD, kinda claustrophobic and suffer from very mild dislexia (spelling might be an issue too).

The pilling on sweaters or anything else, I can’t let it be. Finger nails, if they can be made to snag or drag on fabric, hells no, I now have a diamond knife sharpening stone that I carry in my “purse” (a nail file is ghay but the sharpening stone reeks of testosterone and gun oil ;)). The “purse” is a Kobalt tool bag reeking of Old Spice, Copenhagen fine cut, and spilled coffee. Oil, grease, fish guts, blood on my hands I can live with, plain old gardening type dirt however I’ll need to get that taken care of, I’m not a fan of dry skin on my hands.

Crowds are usually an issue, outdoors events are not a problem Indy 500, Talladega, State fair no problem. Christmas shopping crowded malls I’ll need to be drinking before and after, the wife figured out that when I say I’m done she’s has minutes to finish up. Here’s something normal for you, damn straws at sit down meals.

The archaic notion to remove hats indoors yet there isn't a hat rack to be found. 😀
That's an interesting one to me. It doesn't irritate me, I just notice it. Not the lack of hat racks, just the presence of hats on restaurant customers.

The popular sit down fast food places are a prime place for observing this. Several of us Olde Phartes "do lunch" once a week at various semi-cool places, and it's noticeable that some of the places seem to attract no-hat folks while in others almost all the male customers are wearing some kind of hat, almost exclusively of the "cap" variety. The menus are almost identical in these places and the service and food are quite acceptable for what they are and decorum is about the same . . .and yet one place will have hatless customers while in a very similar place almost all the guys are "capped". It's not unusual for us fogies to be hatless, as usual, and yet be surrounded by the "capped".

Yep, it's trivial, but still . . .

:ROFLMAO:

No seriously, people running red lights annoy me these days. I see about 5 or 6 cars per day running red lights. At least that many.
Good point on the hats.

Passing me on the right, turning inside of me in town, using the bicycle lane as a passing lane (especially in combination with turning inside of me). I drive a semi, I know it’s frustrating, believe it or don’t, but I have a small personal vehicle too. I also know the best way to get yourself mashed is to do unexpected things around semi’s. The only moving vehicle accident I’ve had was a person trying to turn inside of me getting to an on ramp. Kinda proud it took 28 years, and was ruled non preventable!

I knew this would bring out the honest and the "above all others/arrogant better than you types"....see post #16 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

People wearing hats at the table in a restaurant.

I'm guilty of that at time....depending on the type of restaurant, like one where it's business casual or formal I won't be wearing a cover. But Chic Fil A or Chipotle? I don't uncover for that.

Petty people who get annoyed for petty reasons.

Well then we are petty and you are perfect as Christ I guess....

You all have way too much time on your hands. Go do something constructive. Or destructive, whichever the case may be. But do something.

Hmmm, for a old crippled guy I feel walking the pooch, filling the bird feeders, making breakfast, mowing the grass (just an acre or so), weed eating, laying out 50 bags of pebble, cleaning off the deck, cleaning the smoker/grill, getting a pork belly prepared/rubbed/on smoker, doing dishes, tearing down and cleaning used GP100, taking a bunch of crap to the dump, and finally sitting down to watch some lacrosse with a cold beer was fairly productive for a SAT AM......of course now I'm worn out and trying to stay awake after meds.

GF's who wake me in the mid of the night and ask, "Are you awake?"

Those nights are long gone....now it's the Wife's CPAP or lower back/SI Joint pain waking me up...

Or the petty people that feign annoyance for the opportunity to fully display their own pettiness.

See post #1

I think Post#1 was admission to that.....maybe crotchety folks can't read into that...sorry post #1 annoyed you.

The MORONS that think it's "FINE" to drive at 35 mph in a 45 mph zone with line of traffic behind them.

I'm with you on that one! Four hours of commute time MON-FRI I see a lot of it.....

Yep! 45 years driving a semi, I got a couple of them myself.

When someone uses the word "of" instead of the proper "have". (would of or should of instead of would have/should have, etc.)

People who don't know that their daytime running lights don't turn on their tail lights. They then drive at night with no tail lights on because the dim glow of the DRL's out front is mistaken for headlights. I mostly blame the manufacturers for their original design of DRL's would activate the dash lights, giving people the impression that all their lights are on. I believe this has changed but, I don't know if it has by all manufacturers. My '19 Colorado DRL's don't turn on my dash lights.
