This little guy was at my door Wednesday morning looking all hungry. Lots of food, some tick and flea treatment and his is happy. I have been around to the neighbors and nobody know where he belongs. I think he may have found where he belongs.

Many years ago a really cute Bulldog puppy wandered on to my fron lawn early one morning and then sat there watching my front door. My wife and I gave him some water and dog food, and then tied him to a rope and that to a big tree in the yard. He looked like a purebred bulldog and we thought for sure someone would be coming around looking for him. All day long we sat outside and my wife got really attached to this guy by the time late afternoon rolled around. I told her that if no one showed up by about 15 minutes from right then we would take him in, place a "found dog" ad in the paper (years before the internet) and if no one replied, keep the critter. Just as we were about to go in for the night a station wagon with a whole family drove by, the kids jumped out of the car and ran to the puppy yelling and hooping and hollaring as the puppy got really excited. They thanked us profusely for taking care of their new puppy and then went on their way. My wife was almost as sad as when we had to put a dog down.

Nothing cuter than a little bulldog puppy.

Florence & her brother Edward, our latest rescue pups. Found them in the middle of the street, running loose at 8 weeks old, wormy & flea ridden, 7 years ago. Flo & Eddie are Dorkies, Weenie/Yorkie mix, per my vet.

We had a "schnoodle" (Schnauzer - poodle) abandoned in our backyard-had to have been lifted over a 3-4 ft fence. I was gone but came home to "Is there something you want to tell me?" from the wife. Being experienced in the ways of married women, I said I'm not answering until I know what I am accused of! Never found out where he came from, bonded with my GSP. At 16 (I was doing my thesis on bears and estimated he was six from tooth wear when we got him), he was diagnosed with cancer. He lived to be 22 and was all personality Even tried to take on two Rotts to protect my wife while they were walking! For any Shakespeare fans, he was Falstaff.

Except for that first GSP, all our dogs (mostly GSPs) have been rescues!

Our "rescue" was Jessie Girl; Some low life slime ball dumped her in the intersection of our two dirt roads at an age of under 6 months. She was a sweetie and lived to over 11 years of age when severe cancer in her bladder and abdomen forced us to have her put to sleep; I still miss her. Loved my Dachshund MISTER that made it to 21 years of age still lives in my heart and thoughts. Now I've got DUKE a rescue from the local Humane Society, they told me he was 6 when I got him making him 8 now; He's part Australian Sheepdog/ Spaniel; I swear it's WATER Spaniel, we cant pass a stream, puddle, lake or beach without him wanting to go swimming. He keeps an eye on me whenever I move from room to room.

You have a smart pup, he/she knew were to go. I’ll bet good money he/she is not transgender. That would be in USD. I could say more, but why.
