Lite stikes after Ghost Rocket SR9C

Well guys i got the rocket working. I shortened the TCT from .299 to .280 inches ( approx as it was difficult to get consistant reading of TCT). Now i must say i really like the trigger pull so far. I took to the range this eve and it did tighten up the groups a lot ( still need a lot more shooting). But the the problem i faced was lite strike about 30% of the time. I have about 1200 rounds so far and not a single lite strike, ftf or any problem so far. Ghost web site says change recoil spring or shorten TCT .01.
I wanted to know iif any one had similar experience and or have solutions for this problem. I know Galoway precision set but will like to avoid that for now since the problem does seems to be related to Rocket.

Heard of Ghost Rocket causing reset problems but not light strikes? When was the last time you took the striker out and cleaned it and it's channel?

As a mater of fact I had just cleaned it not so long ago as I had to try some samples from Italian Gun Grease. As per ruger instructional video i lubed the the channel, may be a tad more as there are a lot of scracthes on the rear end , indication that friction is a problem. I did talk to oliver at ghost and he said shave a hair of TCT and see what happens. I have again cleaned the striker channel today and will go easy of the lube but there was not much fowling to begin with. But this grease is very slick and I am loving it. Well i hope my fix works cause i am loving the trigger.

I don't think I'd recommend a grease for the striker though I do use a bit of Slide-Gliide on the slide rails. If you have a Dremel and polishing pads, polish the firing pin area and the raised rings on the striker, any where there is metal to metal contact between the striker and the slide. Then lube with just touch of very light gun oil.

IGG is not a grease per say. Its more of dry grease/metal conditioner, of the few days I have used it i have been very impresed and they even send you free samples. Yes its a new product and its not as big and fancy company but its a winner. I used hoppes elite oil before and that has no rentention and thats why the sratches. Also tried high grade aircraft grease in rails and it gunged up so threw it away. I was told not to polish slide and internals though i did buy flitz just for that as ruger parts are surface hardend. I am soaking them in IGG over night as it obosrbs in the metal and is more like a dry grease. Check the Video below and i you like what you see order free smaples.

Don't know who told you not to polish or why, but I've done all the work Josh describes in his tutorial,

plus a little extra. Also installed the Ghost Rocket and never had any light strike issues. But it does seem every one of these suckers is slightly different.

Sal,

Oliver at Ghost inc told me not to and It might just be the fact that every one has different level of skills with dremel and if some one like me is doing it for the first time its better to wait and see how trigger works for me before doing any thing else. I am sure i will like to attempt it if i think trigger is lacking some thing. Hopefully tommorow it will come together.

Oh sure, I understand. If I wanted feedback on my product I won't want it from a weapon that had been modified in some unknown manner.
