CT AG Going After RXM

The CT AG reported on X that he sent a letter to Ruger concerning the ability of the RXM to be converted to full automatic. Is that even possible?

The Ruger is not the same as the Glock in that respect. That doesn't mean that someone couldn't make it happen, tho. Most any full sized modern self loading pistol can be made to dump a mag in a hurry.

Recently I installed different types of "forced reset triggers in a customer's guns. One was in a Taurus TX22 the other in a Bushmaster AR15. The Taurus blew away 15 round magazine in about a second (reported to be 1900/minute). I felt no trigger reset at all. The Bushmaster, after replacing the BCG with a "full auto" BCG was about 1200/minute. I only shot 13 rounds total (2, 6, 5), I may have felt a perceptible reset. Thinking a "Glock Switch" functions the same way. One is illegal, the other isn't. The "FRT" required partial disassembly of the "fire control" to replace the disconnector in the Taurus, the Bushmaster was a "drop in" "fire control" that required minor fitting.

Maryland has a bill being sent to the Governor for signature that will ban the sale of Glock and similar pistols from sale here. Another usless bill as it only defeats the 'good guys' from owning one. The gang-banger will get his/her Glock somewhere and the hell with a bill/law.

There's been fully automatic conversions being done for/by criminals as far back as the early-mid 30's.....The most famous of which were the highly modified Colt 1911's and 38-Supers that were done up by a Texas gunsmith by the name of Hyman Lebman. He not only supplied multiple examples to various members of the Dillinger gang, but a few independent bank robbers, kid nappers and such as well.......
Just sayin' that the Bible is right again....There is nothing new under the sun.

Just read that Ruger moved out of Southport and into North Carolina.

I'm not a machinist or even close but can't any semi-auto gun be converted to full auto?
Goodly number of years ago I shot a Glock 18... had a 20 round magazine in it... total waste of ammo... other than the first round I don't think I even came close to the target that was about 20ft away.

In Baltimore that would be Orleans Street......a stone's throw from Johns Hopkins Hospital. Two very different world a couple blocks apart.
