LIQUID BRASS CLEANER ???

A young man was telling me that their is some liquid brass cleaner that does a good job, Ii have always used steel wool and walnut hulls, any body else use this liquid stuff and is it ok??????????

After trebizillions of cases cleaned, trying purchased and unsolicited "next new best things", I find my preference remains Dillon Rapid Polish and corn-cob media.
In my Dillon and Midway cleaners....

I have used Iosso liquid brass cleaner kit and it does a fair job of cleaning brass. I have returned to a regular tumbler case cleaner and use corn cob from Petsmart with either New Finish car polish or Flitz and a capful or two of Hoppes in it. I do not polish my cases just clean them. I would like to try a sonic cleaner one day.

Just Google Iosso case cleaner kit.

I wash and soak my revolver brass in liquid dish detergent with some vinegar in a tub for about 15 min. Brightens them up before tumbling. 8) 8)

I've started using citric acid, in hot water, before dropping them in the tumbler. Lemi shine is pretty much the same thing, packaged nicer, and easier to get, but a little pricier.

Care must be taken as some brass cleaners/polish contains ammonia. Ammonis will degrade the brass...

I bought some liquid cleaner to try and cheap out on getting a tumbler. It works pretty good, but its messy and I don't really enjoy the process. Plus you need to either wait a few days for them to completely dry or put them in the oven on the lowest setting for like a half an hour.

I'm pretty sure I'll be buying a tumbler.
