This one was in the works for a while and it finally came home last week. It is a USFA 45 Colt that Mr. Bowen worked over into his light weight configuration. Brian Powley of OH did the engraving, Turnbull the coloring and Nutmeg Sports did the carved one piece ivories for the original owner of the gun. I asked that Hamilton perform the #5 base pin latch as well since this will be the only gun of this type and style I will most likely own. Hopefully it will be handed down to one of my sons when I am gone.

Wow...what an awesome revolver!! You said "light weight SSA." Any idea what it actually weighs? I'm trying to cobble together a light weight SSA of my own too...but cant afford to go the custom route. So far I'm down to 2lbs 3 1/4 oz...(the revolver - not me!)... Ruger Vaquero SS 45 Colt 4 5/8 bbl alloy grip frame with the blackish powder finish removed. I'm not interested in a shorter bbl or birdshead grip frame. Just curious as to what yours actually weighs. Thanks in advance.
