Liberty model Security Six

Was there a "Liberty " model Security Six made with the Bicentennial "Made in the 200th Year" marking? I don't recall ever seeing one and i am just curious.
How much would one be valued with full package?

Yes there was. In shooter condition, there is no added value. If in collector condition, with the whole package, the value is only marginally increased beyond any other similar condition Security Six, except to a few folks like me, that will step up a hundred bucks or more, for the perfect package, and for the convenience of having it now.

A perfect-condition Security Six is approaching the 500-dollar range. If I found a perfect Liberty specimen, I'd pay 600, but at the same time, if I was selling one for that price, I wouldn't expect it to sell very fast.

yes, they are out there, sold a Speed Six ,new in the box for $600 two weeks ago, and a nice ,mint 6 inch blued Security Six was offered to me this past weekend for $450............
they are marked "Made in the 200 th year of American Liberty" on the rear of the left side of the receiver, below the latch button.....

Yes, the run of the mill models command a slight premium - $25 to $50.
There are some very low production models that command a higher premium such as .38 Spl. (only) versions. 9mm versions (all fixed sight) are almost unheard of, but they are out there.

In other words, while a 9mm Speed Six or Service Six commands a premium, a 200th year 9mm commands substantially more.

There is a 1976 Security Six for sale on GB. Right now! Its cheap enough, but the finish looks bad. It's had a rough life. The 200th yr stamp is on lower left side of frame

I have a GA-84 200th Year Liberty, which is one of three known at this time. If my memory serves me right (haven't looked at it in awhile), it could have both boxes & numbered to the revolver. Lucky snag multiple years ago, as the counter guy at the LGS I bought it at is a Ruger collector & didn't realize it was a 38 SPL.

PS. Forgot to mention my SS-92 200th Year Liberty. Only one known at this time. It too is complete with both boxes. Came out of the Sturm Ruger collection.
