Lever gun scopes

Agreed. I installed a Vortex Crossfire 1-4 on an 1895. It looked huge on the gun and was very heavy for the magnification. Went to a Leupold 1.5-5x20 with a 1" tube. This is what right looks like.
 
Most of them weigh about double what a 1" version does. The Leupold 1-4x and 1.5-5x is particularly light. Much better suited for the purpose.

No it is not........For my hunting rifles used late and early..........My Marlins wear 3x12x50 scopes by Swarovski abd Leupold. Those weenie scopes just don't cut at those times of light.

My comment stands. Maybe you should read up on exit pupils.
