I really like this old paper work from the factory. Here is a letter from Bill Ruger in 1956. looks like he was buying some art work. The letterhead has a Ruger pistol revolver stamp. 8) 8)

Here is another letter from 1979. Mr. Vogel (Rugers son inlaw) purchashing some books. Hey you think this check is still good.. :wink:

Mike I agree. The ol'e man was thrifty (cheap). Thats why we have all these variations in guns and boxes. Like paste over lables :lol: I wonder what he bought is worth now... I would like to see the item he purchashed..

After a little research. I am guessing that the Merwin, Hulbert was some type of firearm Bill was looking to buy. The drawing may have been from Henry Moore who was a sculptor and artist.
