One for every occasion...

I don't think I would even want to shoot that .308! I had a Encore once in .308, and about 10 rounds is all I could take.

That looks like the Pachmayr Dominator conversion for 1911 type pistols. I came very close to buying one of those in 7mm-08, but I just could not convince myself that even the '08 would be recoil tollerable with a 1911 grip.

I'll play!

My Contender, wearing its .223 barrel:

(The flag was my wife's idea, and produced by a fellow forum member...)

And a couple of .45 Colts along with another .22:

All of you small game hunters would be right at home in NC. You "big bore" types would be somewhat overgunned. In NC the only LEGAL requirement for hunting big game with a handgun is that it be .24 caliber or larger. That's right, you can legally hunt deer, bear,& wild boar with your .25 auto, .32 derringer, or .38 snubbie. This rule was written 3-4 yrs ago. So far, no evidence that anyone has been stupid enough to try it thank goodness.

I have one in 7mm-08! I love it!

Used it a bit hunting 'yotes in the Prescott triangle. The recoil was not a problem, it snapped rather like a full-power 10mm in my Delta Elite. The Pachmayr rubber grips with the rubber-coated mainspring housing helped maybe. And it was coke-can accurate out to 100 yds despite a cheapo scope.

A little late to the show,,,, but I finally got a pic uploaded.... Since I just got the SRH a few months back, I'm going to wait until next year to hunt with it after I've had some practice...... Can't wait!

Chief 101 that 30 Herret is sweet. I used to shoot IHMSA silhouette and at one match I was next to a young woman shooting one on the firing line. Man that thing was rudely loud and big muzzleflash. But at the end of the day, she took home trophies.

Thanks Don, I have a 30-30 barrel that really makes a boom. I shot a 255# Black Bear with a 375 Win on this frame and at close range the critter was dispatched quite neatly. I also shot the steel targets from the start till about '81...lots of goodness. Chief aka Maxx Load

I've never seen a .308 like that... Does it shoot a standard .308 rifle round? Give us some details please!

Standard .308. I handload 130 gr.single shot pistol bullets with BL2C.
Comes out at about 2700 FPS. Extremely accurate. Here is an old photo that tells it all...

It never changes.
People who write gun laws know nothing about guns...
