"Micro Disk 90302 Discontinued
Posted by Steph @ Lee Precision on 05 November 2012 11:42 AM
The plastic injection mold we used to produce the Micro Disk Kit # 90302 was irreparably damaged this past year. Since sales are not sufficient to build a new mold, we have decided to discontinue this product.

You can use a .17cc dipper to charge many of these smaller loads, or you can change the powder you use to charge."

That's bad news, those molds are expensive, and with a small inexpensive product the retool can bury profits.

As a former worker at an injection molding plant, I sure would like to know just what did they do to it? Did somebody drop the mold? Did they have a problem with the cooling lines and warp it?

For loads that small, I would probably just use a trickler directly into the scale in lieu of small dippers.
