I have one of the Lee 310 molds but I haven't cast any boolits with it, but I do have a 300 gr Mihec that casts a longer boolit. Theoretically the longer Mihec should be harder to stabilize, right? I know it shoots fine at a chronographed 1029fps.

Why would you think a certain velocity is needed to stabilize that bullet? You are thinking too hard about simple things...Put some loads together and find out which is the most accurate...NEVER develop a load with velocity in mind, that makes no sense, accuracy kills. Chrono it after you establish the accuracy of a given load if you need that info.
The folks on the castboolits fourm said that's how fast it needed to go to stabilze. I don't want to shoot hot loads all the time so I was wondering if anyone had shot this bullet at around 950-1000 fps with good accuracy. I'll probably just stick with the Lee 240 grain SWC.
It has been a few years since I shot that particular bullet, but it seemed to shoot just fine at 900-1000 for me. I didn't even put gas checks on them...
I have that mold and load from 900 fps and faster and haven't had any issues with the bullet stabilizing. Shot through my Dan Wesson 744 and my Ruger 44 Mag 10.5" SBH and 44 Special Flat Top.
