Has anyone had any work done to lighten the trigger pull on the LCR 38? Trigger pull a bit too heavy for my 82 year old Mom.

Can't answer your question but, since you mentioned why you want it lighter, I'll make some pertinent comments. First, having carried revolvers exclusively for near 40 years, I've learned to not tamper with factory DA trigger pulls.

Secondly, my wife has arthritis and lately finds it impossible to shoot DAO. In fact, she found it too difficult to even cock her old snubby with it's narrow little hammer. She now has a wide spur hammer and practices rapid single fire shooting. All things considered...ease of use, accurate shot placement, confidence boost, etc.... it's no setback at all.

I assume you mean the double action pull? Is it new? I'd clean it well and dry fire it several hundred times for her. If that doesn't free it up then you might look at modifications/tuning.

The lcr is new with less than 50 rounds through it. I'll give it a good cleaning and try the dry fire suggestion. Thanks.

I'm no gunsmith, but I think the design of the LCR trigger assembly doesn't lend itself to the traditional trigger job one may perform on a typical revolver like the SP101, S&Ws etc.

I have several hundred rounds through mine and have found it to be lighter than it was. Almost too light for me at times.
