LC9 question (re front sight)

Hello all,

I was out looking for a new handgun yesterday. I had nothing specific in mind so I didn't research any particular model. I saw the LC9 and bought it on the spot... remember, I did no research first.

So took it home... havent shot it yet. Did some reading online and found that some people with early model serial number are having issues with the front sight loosening up. I found that my front sight is not pinned and has an early serial number.

So my question is as follows. Are all the early model ones with no pinned sights having ths problem or just a small number?

I just got one myself and,there is a roll pin on the very top front of the front sight. It is real small and if you take the slide off the fram,you can see it the bottom of the roll pin just barely touching the top of barrel inside slide.
