I have had thus one for 10 years now and still works fine. Just hose off the metal parts after each use to help slow down the corrosion from the fertilizer.

I have a Lesco High Wheel Fertilizer Spreader with Manual Deflector Kit. You will need to put some money out but it is solid. I had owned the Earthway referenced above. It worked well for awhile but the gears finally wore out. I think the Spyker brand is comparable if not the same other than branding and distribution.

I've tried all different companies; tru-green, locals, etc.; (all seemed to burn my lawn), different fertilizers, etc. I've gone to Scott's 4 Step. I apply with a pull behind spreader 4 times during the summer and my lawn looks great.

I used a spreader many years ago filled with Scott's 'somethingorother'. Supposed to make the lawn beautiful. If lots and lots of yellow dandelions are what they were speaking of it worked great. Never have I put anything on the lawn since and finally no longer have dandelion infestation. Grass grows just fine on it's own.
