Still a work in progress, as you can see. Plenty of polishing, sharpening and cleaning to go. This old Klein & Sons Type H was literally a handle filled with rust. The reason I am posting is about rust removal. Normally done with WD40 and a wire brush for the big stuff, I used the product pictured below, which I normally use for my old vehicles. Quick, easy, and no blade damage. Of course I have a lot more work to do, but most of the rust was gone in about a minute. The main ingredients are "Inorganic acid, corrosion inhibitor" so I haven't the colones to try it on my old Barney Fife rifle (old Marlin, no mag, single shot) but thought I would pass it along since it did a good job on the blade.
