I mostly carry carbon steel pocket knives.
They need some TLC to keep the rust at bay.
I have never been a fan of oily rags to do the job. Can never get it off my hands. A small container with an old (clean) sock or rag sprayed with Break Free works great.
A few swipes into the container at the end of the day makes fast work of tarnish.
