The saurkraut thread put me in mind of a different form of "kraut" that I've been buying and making at home for years...kimchi!
It's Korean, made from Napa cabbage and other veggies. It's lots zippier - hotter -than saurkraut, and some say it's an acquired taste...not for me! I'm sure every Korean housewife and grannylady had her own recipe, as do I.
Anyone else stink up the house with this stuff?
