This one is from 1979. A little rough when I picked it up but….local gun shop had it and one of the employees was looking it over and pulled the cylinder. I picked it up and looked through the chambers. Well well, it's a 45 ACP instead of 45 Colt. For $450 out the door, it followed me home. I've loaded 200 grain round flat points and this morning, switched to 185 grain semi wad cutters.

45 Colt cylinders are fairly cheap on eBay.

To bad about not having the 'proper' cylinder in it. Otherwise nice find! Hope you run into one or have one fitted.

.45ACP is a lot of fun in a single action. Those stubby empties practically fall out on their own.

Nice gun!
You can also have the .45 ACP cylinder trimmed to headspace .45 Auto Rim. I prefer to use .45 AR as range loads with light powder charges, rather than .45 Colt. If you get a .45 Colt cylinder for it, you can still use the .45 Cowboy in it.

I've used C45S in the ACP cylinder for cast lead SWC.

That's exactly what I've been looking for.
Right barrel length and affordable as well
I could care less about 45 LC Cylinder.
It's hard to cut loose of what $ a new one costs these days
