Jason,

I think it well, on my own behalf and my fellow members, to thank you, Lipsey's and Ruger for creating some of the greatest guns made in my lifetime. It is incredible to reflect on my own decades worth of wishing and now I am rewarded every year with yet one my heirloom I can enjoy and pass down the line. THANK YOU!

Recently in a separate post, a fellow member mentioned he would like to see the adjustable sighted 4" Bearcat made with the round butt ala Shopkeeper. Honestly, I didn't have a frame of reference but with the recent acquisition of a Shopkeeper, his concept is a great one.

The Birdshead Shopkeeper's rounded grip frame offers great comfort for a person with larger than normal hands. If you could see fit to produce the Bearcat with the rounded butt (adj. sights and stainless please), I think you might have yet one more blue ribbon winner.

To this end, I have contacted Dave Clements and purchased a Shopkeeper. He does a great adjustable sight conversion but it's $550 and up (though I think it looks much better than the Ruger version, if not worth the $$$ to me). I've got him for his action tune package, new match barrel (will be between 4-5 inches, need to photoshop some options), and a dovetail front sight. I can't see why Ruger or Lipsey's couldn't do dovetailed front sights as it's a simple thing to do without having to do special runs of birds head adjustable sight frames (with the required engineering, tooling, molds, etc).

First, please allow me to say I like your style and I fully agree with you. Like you, I have been having a serious debate about re-barreling one of mine (regular, stainless Bearcat), hanging it with a longer one, say around six inches. A drift front sight could really go a long way to curing a glaring ill, not to mention adding quite a bit of style.

Davidson's did these in 1994, in three different barrel lengths, just like the Old Model Single-Six with drift adjustable rear sight and half-moon blade front sight.
Although, they are not a true "flattop".
There were also about five different Bisley models made with the same type cylinder frame.

I was thinking more on the line of the current Flat Top revolvers with the adjustable "Micro" sights.
