I didn't have any luck with Forum member feedback when I posted this in the "Revolvers" section, so I thought I'd try it here in "Rimfires". I'm helping a good friend liquidate a gun collection that he just inherited from his Dad. I'm not that familiar with manufacture dates and current values for Ruger revolvers and pistols, so I would like to request some help. Here are the handguns for which I'm looking for more information:

Ruger New Model Single Six .22/.22 Mag 9.5" bbl Orig. box (NIB);
Ruger New Model Single Six .22/.22 Mag NRA Commemorative 1953-2003; Orig. box (NIB)
Ruger Mark I Target 14-49643 1 magazine; Extra wood stocks.
Ruger Mark II .22/45 1 magazine Orig. box (NIB);
Ruger Mark II Target .22 225-52157 2003 Competition Slab Side Orig. box;
Ruger Mark II .22 NRA Commemorative 1916-2002; NRA-01726 (2003); Orig. box (NIB)

I'd greatly appreciate any information on DOMs and current values. Thanks.

You can find date made on Rugers web site under Customer Service and serial number lookup.

Best place for values is to search completed auctions on Gun Broker. Maybe even search the classifieds here.

They have a way for you to actually access 'competed sales' by specific firearm; I'm not too familiar with the specifics, but I know it's a 'source' for seeing what SOME people will pay. Just remember that it's an auction so the prices could be corrupted by crazy people with too much money.

All nice firearms, you just have to find the right buyer.

"It only takes one!" 🤠

⬆️ This Competition Target is a "Distributor Exclusive," if I'm not mistaken.

I know that Lipsey's often gets green boxes for their Distributor Exclusives.
1) It's also blued, which is somewhat unusual for the Competition Target.
2) If my eyes don't deceive me, it's a 5-1/2" barrel, vs the more common (in stainless, anyway) 6-7/8" barrel(?).

In GunBroker, find the "Advanced Search" page. When you get there, search under the "Completed Auctions" tab.

Make sure you're looking at completed auctions with bids. There are some eternal optimists on GB, with a sky-high opening bid or "Buy It Now" price. They're the ones that keep closing with zero bids…

As mentioned by Johnnu2, beware that if there are two bidders who "really" want an item (and bid it up), that can skew perceived value.

Thanks Chet15. As requested, here is the end label from the green Lipsey's box. Definitely blued, and definitely a shorter barrel than the usual SS slab sides.

While not really rare the MK512GCL doesn't come up for sale a lot. Their MK4BL you see quite often. The KMK678GCL and the KMK4BL are their scarcer models.

I understand that only about 1000 of the Lipsey's MK512GCLs were manufactured in 2003. Although not rare, I'd like to get an idea of what it's worth. Any guesses as to its current value? Thanks.
