Bought some Ammo Inc Hunt SP 6.5 Creedmoor ammo from a closeout ad on Optics Planet. Not sure what the problem is but I'm relegating the ammo to 'pull down' status. I shot a few rounds to see how it was and OMG, accuracy was non-existent. Ranging from 4-5" between holes to missing a 12" x 12" target. I thought maybe something had come loose on the rifle or scope but switching back to fresh production AAC 'Sabre Black Tip" from PSA, returned groups to 3/4" at original zero.

Didn't Ammo Inc go out of business due to QC issues in the past 6 months? I think SG had (has?) that brand on closeout recently.

AMMO INC was traded/sold recently. I've had good results from several different flavors of Ammo Inc ammo in the past but I'm not even going to risk shooting more of this crap. I just can't imagine how it could be so bad. I didn't notice much/any variation in sound or recoil but it almost like shooting a smoothbore. Didn't find any jacket slivers in the bore when I cleaned it and not an excessive amount of fouling.

Optics Planet is my issue in this topic.
I would pull and weigh the charges for consistency. If they are all over the place I would just load the powder into a decent measure and reload them with what you have.

Yeah, sounds like the ammo has some qc issues for sure. Probably how Optics Planet ended up with it on clearance.

Interesting this ammo issue has turned into an Optics Planet issue. Optics Planet remains one of my go-to businesses.

Interesting. Pull a projectile and measure the diameter and length. Do you have calipers?

Optics Planet has one of the worst customer service and shipping reputations of any retailer, gun related or not, on the internet.
Be interesting to pull down and weigh a few powder charges and bullets.
I've never had a problem with Optics Planet when ordering "in stock" merchandise. I always click on the "availability" link before pulling the trigger. If it isn't in stock, I don't order it. Their backorders can be ridiculously long.
But, yes, they have built up a pretty poor rep overall.
