I have been on a wait list with Midway since August for the rubber part for my Wiley Clapp GP 100. Anyone have one for sale or know of a source? Thanks.

Check with Ruger Customer Service. I got 2 from them but it was almost a year ago. Don't forget the Grip Panel Locator Pin. It keeps the Grips from shifting.

Thank you. I tried last year and Ruger was most helpful and sent me a beautiful set - alas for a an sp 101. I'll try in a moment.

I took your suggestion and called Customer Service. They were most courteous and helpful as usual. They are checking to see. I'll let you all know.

Put a 'Want To Buy' add in the classified section. Someone will turn one up for you.

Member since 2004? Not much to say I guess.

Sometimes it's better to be quiet and have people think you are dumb than speak and have them know it. Anyhow, humor is good.

If you are referring to the "fixed sight grip" then they are not in production anywhere that I was able to find. I called ruger, midway, Altamont etc. The place I found them was on ebay. I had to search daily. keep an eagle eye out and you will run across a pair. Or search the ruger forums. Usually people that buy them keep them. They are great on the small gp 100's.

You will know that you have the right ones as they measure about 4 inchs from the bottom of the grip to the top of the backstrap, rounded edges, and have the same size wood inserts as the sp101's.

otherwise you will have to go to wood grips.

hope this helps.

Thanks to all. Sad that these grips are no longer available. HiCap (the Sad)

Try Altamont Grips. They show them on their web page.
Alas, the rubber is the full size grip which came with my 3" Wiley Clapp. A guy at Ruger is looking in the nooks and crannies for me. Ruger service is fantastic.

the grips on Altamont are sp101 and they won't fit on the gp 100. I called when I was looking for them and they said they don't have them and don't know where to get them.

I hope the ruger guy can find a set for you but I won't hold my breath. the lady that I dealt with at ruger is really good at what she does and couldn't find them.

best of luck.

Altamont, does have grips for the GP100, but they are the larger grips, like the ones on the WC GP. Not as small as the compacts, but still an improvement over the grips the factory is using now. Ed

They need to start making the compact ones, there is a huge demand for them. Based on the questions about them on this forum. The hogue grips are awful on the new GP100's IMHO. I'm sure they are great at the range, but I can't see trying to conceal them.

Happy Day! Gill in Customer service came through today. A new set of the compact rubber for the gp 100. I immediately swapped out the grips that came with the Wiley Clapp. Well done, Customer Service.
