Very 'interesting', however, if I am carrying "illegally" I might as well carry a small 380. They are just a wee bit larger and hold more then one shot.

The concept of the LifeCard is to have a firearm,, in places where it doesn't look like a gun,,,, AND gives you some protection. It's NOT for fooling the law or breaking the law. Many folks worry about a CCW "printing" on their bodies,, this doesn't print like a normal firearm.
Others want to hang out with their whimpy, rose colored glasses types, yet still have a firearm w/o alarming those sheeple. The LifeCard does that. Or,, lastly,, in a bad situation, a BG may not realize it's a firearm until you use it to drop his sorry butt.
Relax folks,, it's just a different design with a different outlook on carrying a firearm.
As I mentioned,, we had one last year for my FoNRA event,, and we have another one this year. There was a LOT of interest in it & many commented on wanting it. Having handled one,, and studied it,, I can see it's possibilities for sure.
And if I get lucky enough to win one this year,, I'll give y'all a report on how it shoots!

I don't know how anyone would think that (I'll try to be kind) useless hunk of metal would be legal to carry ("...might be a nice thing to keep in your pocket in places where you cannot legally carry.") in places it's not legal to carry. It's still a firearm. It would be as much of a violation as if I carried my 7.5-inch barrel Redhawk .44 into the same place. If you ever needed that thing it would take too long to assemble, load and cock to do much good, especially with only one shot. But, as they say, to each his own I guess.

Actually,, it folds open & is ready to go quicker than you think it would. I know,, I fondled one enough to know.
From the posts above,, it's apparent I'm the only one who has hands on experience with the LifeCard. I freely admitted I've never shot one,, and would if I get one.
Why not give it the benefit of the doubt until you have some actual experience?
Seems I read a lot about Bill Ruger when he first started building guns,, and a lot of it was not nice.
AND,, at least they FULLY support my FoNRA event by DONATING one to us,,, just by me asking for it. Give them Kudos for the support if nothing else!

Well, that's the thing, bad situations usually happen very quickly so I just don't think the thing would be accessible quick enough to do any good. As forum members said, it's still a gun, so why not just carry a derringer with some more knock down power?

I have nothing at all against the makers of this thing. Where I live, I can't legally carry a gun but would I carry this thing? My answer is no. Because as I said, it is still a gun and not legal for me to carry and I don't really think I could access the thing with such a small caliber fast enough to do any good.
