Wonder how a lightweight would go over now that people have gotten used to aluminum and plastic firearms?
 
I find it interesting because there are otherwise-well-informed Rugerphreaks who are unaware of this bit of Ruger history. Don's article lays it all out quite nicely.

And I own a couple of them thar 'lightweights'... One exactly like the photo at the top of the piece! With Box.. With Manual.. (etc etc) ;)

And it's always great to see Don's stuff getting published!
 
Don has the respect from all of us who've had the pleasure of meeting him. He's a gentleman & a serious Ruger collector. His writings are excellent.

Having had the opportunity to see just a few items that Don will have in the book on Ruger Papers. I can tell you it is full of Ruger papers never seen before!! It ought to be out in a few months!
