I got an email overnight stating that 'service was completed' on my VORTEX Crossfire scope and it was on it's way home. What I returned for service was about 5" of scope tube and part of the power adjustment ring--both melted almost beyond recognition.

Please let us know what condition it’s returned in. My next scope just might have to be a Vortex.
I switched to Vortex when I got my 50BMG. It's the only affordable scope rated for 50BMG and has a lifetime, no-questions-asked warranty. So far I've never had an issue with either of my Vortex scopes, and they have both held zero.

I bet it was easy for them. Throw it in the barrel and send you a new one.
