How to use and what do you download to use it to post pics,

Go to http://www.imgur.com and follow their instructions. It's super easy ..... 100 times more simple and user friendly than Photobucket.
To post a pic I sign in, click on view (or show?) pics, I then click on the pic to post. Imgur enlarges that pic in another window. On the right side of that pic are several selections that are clearly marked what their purpose is. I think it's the next to last one that says something like "for posting on forums or message boards". Copy and paste that. I use the "huge thumbnail" size.
And if you search here I think it was Gunny Gene who last fall made several great posts with info on this.

good photo, but what are those things attached to the side of the ship?

That ship looks like it's decommissioned. And,,, those things attached to it are it's anchor/tie downs. It allows the tide to rise & fall, and keeps the ship stable.
Contender has it right. It is BB-35 USS Texas and it is decommissioned (June 1946 IIRC) and open to tourists. I've been on it several times. It's moored in LaPorte , TX. right near the San Jacinto Memorial in the San Jacinto State Park Just outside Houston.
That is, as said, the TEXAS at her 100th commission anniversary. Contender is right about the "objects" on the side. They allow movement with the tides but hold her in a moored position. I have more photos of her 'insides'. My F-I-L was stationed on her early in his career.

I would advise creating separate albums for different categories tho, and marking them all as Private to avoid complications with the inevitable internet scum of the earth. :wink:

Took my kids to see the beautiful old Texas a couple of times years ago. Went myself as a kid in the late 1940s. She's in dire need of millions of dollars in repairs.
IIRC, she is the last of the WWI era Dreadnaughts/battleships.

To get off topic a bit but the USS Texas, was at Normandy near western Omaha Beach and was the Flagship of Rear Admiral C.F. Bryant, primarily in support of the US 1st Infantry Division.
