I listed a house for sale on Monday, Tuesday it came on the market and things went crazy. I was over whelmed right from the beginning got 7 offers in a couple of days. But I grew sicker as things went along. Yesterday I finally got to the Dr. Seems I have pneumonia. Well the house is now pending, and I'm glad I don't have to plan on doing any open houses for the weekend. In fact, I won't be leaving the house till the medicine kicks in and I turn the corner. Been a while since I've had pneumonia, but it can't be long enough. I don't wish this on my favorite enemy.
I need to spend some time resting and recouperating.

Had pneumonia twice. It's scary...I can understand how it can carry people off.
Don't worry about the damn house. Just rest and let your body fight the good fight!

Yep, just get well. The older I get, the more plagued I am with pneumonia. It takes a long time to heal, and if you don't get completely healed, it can come right back.
My Dr. thought I had it, I didn't, but that was bad enough. Take care of yourself, Marlin!

Dang, you must sold that one too cheap!
Geez Marlin.....get well soon. I haven’t had pneumonia in many years. On Dr’s advice I got a Prevnar anti-pneumonia shot. I have an auto-immune disease, so need to take all the precautions I can.

Get yourself well THEN worry about the house. Have had pneumonia twice; the last time i was in the hospital for a week. NOT a fun time.

My problem was not pneumonia, but a back that I threw out several days
before the house went on the market. Your is anything but trivial, but mine
took over three months to heal. Happy for you that yours should be getting

That's an aspect of real estate sales that I never understand. Back woods country boy logic says if you put an asking price on something and I say I'll pay that amount, I'd better darned well own that item. If it's an auction you're running, call it an auction.

That depends on the item and the market. We got 7 offers. Three of them were higher than the one we accepted by $8000. In this market, there is a lot of demand in certain price ranges. Sometimes people bid high hoping that it won't appraise for that price then they want to negotiate down. We were asking for someone who would bridge the offer with cash if it came in below their offer. Most won't do that, they are playing games. My seller was looking for a quick close, so he didn't want to take the house of the market for a couple of weeks only to find out they couldn't cover the appraisal and then have to start over. Some people want the most money they can get, some want the money quick. Their choice. My job is to get them the best deal FOR THEM that I can. They are happy.

First, we are talking Real Estate where there are MANY times that the itemMobuck said:

guy that offered +$11K was the FIRST offer I received. Since it was a
cash offer, I took it. The guy obviously wanted the property. Super, we
were both happy.
Are you saying I should have turned down the extra $11K he offered?
I think not. It paid almost half of the Real Estate commission.
