How to outfox a rock squirrel

They are tenacious! I wouldn't be too surprised to find that he eventually climbed the sunflower stalk next to it and jumped to the feeder OR that he kept at it long enough to wear off the grease (or whatever was covering the pole).

Greasing poles to keep critters from climbing up them isn't new. But it sure is funny to watch them try to get up one.

I made an inverted U our of pvc and hung bird feeders from the top bar. Every once in a while I spray it with WD40. Same results and lots of laughs.

Son lived in a house with a BUNCH of Fox Squirrels in the back yard. They would run along the top of the fence about 20 -30' away in the bird feeders and in the trees. Well Grandson has a full auto M-4 Air Soft rifle. Now you talk about fun. Open back door a crack stick barrel out door and fire away.

That would be fun, just like shooting at the moving ducks in an arcade. :D
