How do you carry your EDC knife

Tip up so the flipper is where I can reach it.
I didn’t vote. Mostly because I don’t carry a knife every day. But if I do carry one, I guess I really just don’t pay attention to how it’s carried.
I will say I always wanted an automatic knife. Last year I ended up with two of them. They are about the last thing I would carry. I’ve cut myself so many times on the one Kershaw. It’s one of those tiny little automatic knives with a 2 inch blade.
When I do carry a knife it’s the Case with carbon steel blade. And however it gets into the pocket is how it’s carried.

I carry tip up with a clip so I don’t have to dig for it.
Automatics are all that I carry, and most are clipped as tip up designs...So that's how I roll.

I carry a fixed blade. Currently tip down. But I’m looking for someone to make a horizontal style sheath for my EDC.
Right pocket, tip up hinge down.
The ones I use with a pocket clip are tip up.
In my left front pocket with all the other crap I carry there.
Tip up on the 'flipper' utility knife I carry in the right front jeans pocket.

My favorite carry knife are my 2 Spartan Blades Pallas button lock knives. Tip up is the only option that they have.
I carry the traditional "pocket knife" with two small blades; probably about 2 1/4" long closed. It's in my left front pants pocket with my keys and paper towel to blow my nose.... I can whip it out and cut string etc with ease and deadly accuracy... only cut myself with it maybe twice... no stitches.

I usually pocket carry my concealed gun, so the right front pocket is not available for anything else. My knife is clipped into my left front pocket with the tip down, along with my keys and my phone (unless the shirt I am wearing has a pocket that I can use for the phone). The main thing that I use that knife for is in opening packages from Amazon. If I ever had to rely upon a pocket knife for my own defense I would be in big trouble.
Boy Scout Swiss Army in the right pants pocket.
SOG Flare back pocket strong side. Spring assisted, the blade lock has been disabled for ease of opening.

Tip down, no choice.
Horizontal cross draw on my right side because I use a knife left handed. It's a Dozier Personal fixed blade made in Arkansas. My other EDC blade is an Opinel #8 Garden Knife that is in my left front pocket along with my keys and coins.
Gerber clipped to my left front pocket with the tip down just because that's the way the clip causes it to be. If things get rougher in the neighborhood, I'd carry my Buck 105, tip down on either the right or left side depending on what else I'm carrying that day!

Same. I have become a big fan of the flipper. I usually carry some flavor of Kershaw but currently am carrying a Buck 254+. Tip-up is the only option. I also carry an old Buck 301 three-blade pocket knife that I've carried every day since 1979.

Benchmade Barrage: Right Hand pocket of my Wrangler black jeans. Clipped with Point up, so when I pull it out, thumb safety can be released and blade pops up ready for whatever...
FYI: I use many adjectives in my writing, thanks to Ian Flemings James Bond novels influencing me. After I found out the definition of an adjective, my writing improved. Something I never learned in school.

The first question that needs to be answered is which one? I tend to carry several pocket knives every day.

My Kershaw Leek... Always in my back pocket. It slips in hinge down, and immediately finds itself horizontal. And when I reach in to use it, my hand immediately senses the orientation, and immediately adjusts it to be instantly used. I use my knife OFTEN.
Between both knives that I carry daily I probably use them 10 to 15 times a day. I have been carrying and using a knife since about the 2nd grade in school. Today if a kid has a knife in school he would probably be hauled out in handcuffs

Buck 110 in its sheath at 3:00, tip up, lock forward, everyday to work for 40 years now. I wore out 2 and had Buck rebuild them.
Weekends I either keep wearing a 110 or mix it up with a sheath knife tip down. I also usually have a LoomFixer in my pocket.
