Single-Sixer
My grandfather, born in 1892, and his brother saved up and bought an 1873 springfield trapdoor rifle with bayonet thru mail order when they were both in their teens. I don't know the exact year, but it cost them a grand total of $1.98. They used it to shoot woodchucks. He never told me what they used the bayonet for. I have both of them and still shoot the rifle but I've never used the bayonet either.LOL.
