Hornady FTX ammo

Picked up some Hornady ammo at the gun show today. It's the 225gr FTX ballistic tip load. Anybody have any experience with this round? I'll be using it in my 5" Bisley.
Also, I noticed the cases are a hair shorter than usual. I've heard the 45-70 rounds are short cased too. Anyone know the why or what for on this?

The 44 mag rounds use shorter cases, too. The FTX bullets are longer that the "average" JHP (that plastic tip). That can cause a problem in revolvers and lever guns. To get the same COL, they shortened the case.
