Have got the long barreled single six ordered, anybody have any comments for a holster for these guns. Thought a bandoleer holster might be more comfortable. Anycomments are appreciated. Thanks

I had a local Amish harness maker do this cross draw for my single 6 ....... just a little longer and it would work for a 9 :) . Might be an option or not , $40.00 is what he charged and I was happy to pay him

weismand: I have had a 9 inch 22 cal Colt Scout since 1970. And what I finally came up with as far as a holster for it that I really liked was from Hunter Holster Company in the Denver area. I just looked at it and it is the number 9 model Hunter holster and I also bought the matching gun belt for it, which carries 25 rounds of 22cal ammo, and I think they are still in bussiness. I guess You could call this holster and belt a Bandoleer rig. My rig is very well made and very comfortable to wear and the holster has a hard shell inside the leather to give it extra support, but it is nothing fancy, but it is made out of heavy leather. And it has served me very well for the last 40+ years. I also use this holster with a Shoulder Rig I have and it works just great and is very comfortable also. Good luck on your choice.

I have a Ruger Single Six and a Ruger Super Single Six, both with 9-1/2" barrels. Similar to the post above, I carry them in a Hunter holster with a matching gun belt that holds 25 rounds. My belt is actually for a left handed person because I carry the holster in a crossdraw fashion as it is easier to draw the long barrelled pistol that way:
