hogue grips

Thinking of putting the hogue rubber grips, same style as orginal, on my sr1911, do they fit perfect or do you need to do any work on them? It doesnt specifically mention the ruger in the add but figured the ruger is true to orginal specs. Thanks

I have the Hogue grips on my SR1911. Theyare an exact replacement. I love the feel of the grippy rubber over the checkered wood.

Plus, if I ever decide to sell the SR1911 (which so for is never) the original grips will still be in as new condition.

If you buy the grips direct from Ruger they're an exact fit, have the Ruger logo, and are made by Hogue. The Hogue stamp is on the back side of the grips.

I have had a pair from the first week I owned my SR1911, which will be two years in May. I like them so much I bought another pair for my 22/45.

Thanks, ordered the hogues from amazon last night, may order ruger grips also, have another 1911. The ruger grips are out of stock now.

Finally put the hogue grips on today, feel good, not as pretty as the wood but a lot more durable.
