After 1 days in the hospital fighting covid, ventilator and all, I am here to tell ANY doubters that prayers DO, in fact work!
I have been blessed with a second chance and fully intent to see the world differently now.
I am also very lucky to have the best friends in the world!
Took me down over night. NEVER take life for granted.
Carry on!

Had some friends that had RSV. Took them a month to get over it. They never got their shot. I got mine early, only because the pharmacist took the time to explain it to me. My primary never contacted me.

Glad you're on the mend, and yes, I appreciate all the support us elders get.

Glad you are back up and yes, we tend to take too much for granted....
I learned this almost 6 years ago now... when they rolled me in and the first thing that happened was a guy with the world's sharpest scissors spent less than 20 seconds to cut all my clothes off.

I can concur about what the OP shared.
Just a few weeks ago,, I too had a medical issue that could have quickly became much more serious. Luckily,, I haven't taken the covid shots,, and apparently a lot of the medical folks I've seen in the last few weeks have said that it was a good thing I didn't!

But getting sick suddenly,, or whatever,, is NOT fun.

I'm glad you are out of the hospital & back among us! GET WELL SOON!

Hey, I can relate! I don't remember much of anything once I went in the hospital, but later on they told me they "had to" cut my pants off. Brand new jeans that are the hardest size for me to find!

blume,, that guy with the scissors at 20 seconds was WAY too slow.

In the Army,, a guy I roomed with,, flew a Medivac Chopper,, as the medic,, had a call sign of "Scissors-6" he could de-clothe anybody in 6 seconds of less.

It probably was closer to that, I was not really in a good situation to actually judge time after the EMT gave me two nitroglycerin tablets together... of course speaking of travel... I actually left this planet for a brief amount of time about 20 minutes later.... but that. is another story....

Reminds me of back in 1981, three or four days after getting a vasectomy I had a different Doctor's Appointment.... future wife dropped me off and went back to work and after the appointment I decided to do the 3 mile walk home.... got about 5 blocks and then for the first time in my life ... called a cab.

 when I was off loaded from the medevac after being burned in 2022, the ER staff made several attempts at my heavy leather belt before giving up and just unbuckling it. By that point, my hands were immobilized by all the dressings or I would have taken the belt off before they made gnawing marks. The 90# female nurse didn't seem fully motivated to unwrapping this crispy critter.
