charles city . va
It started snowing around midnight last night and it's still coming hard. They had forecast 6" for Charles City county and we have that much now .According to WeatherBug and the local news it will continue on till sometime around noon today.
It started slacking off a bit around 06:00 but it's still coming down and the flakes are a bit smaller now, but still pretty heavy.
BTW would y'all please say a prayer for Juanita and her sister Renee, Juanita had to drive here 50 miles across town this morning ,she's having minor out patient surgery for Carpel Tunnel on her right wrist.
It was either get it done today or wait a month at least .She's been in a lot of pain and when it ain't hurting it's numb and tingly.
Thanks,
Your Friend,
Lou

We got another 4 inches or so last night too. Light fluffy stuff but at 12 degrees and 40 mph winds from the northwest, it's drifting pretty good.

You bet Lou, she's in thoughts and prayer here.

We missed our possible 2-3 inches last night, guess you folks get it all. Oh well we still have several inches of climate change on the ground anyway.

Prayers sent for the drive & wrist sugery

We are to have 78* today, 80* tomorrow THEN 3 days of potential storms & rain
(which will come across the US bringing MORE snow you way)

See we don't have it so great here either :D :D

Snow, what's that. We had snow in November ruin our deer season. Got 16 inches. It melted and I bet we haven't had 3 inches since. Its a good thing I didn't run out and buy a snowmobile. They have sat idle all winter.

Coldest Feb. here, since they started records, 145yrs ago. Haven't seen bare ground since Dec.. Got a glacier forming in the backyard where the snow I pull of the roof is S L O W L Y heading down the hill to the river which is being used as an expressway to the bar down stream, by neibhors with snowmobiles. Best snowmobile season since, well last year. Yup, another ice age starting. Need another mammoth hide for the bed. Be below zero again later.

It was a joke here.... our great brains in the weather industry predicted gloom and doom here 5-10" and we might have gotten 2.... and it was all melted from the roads by 10:00.

hey Lou, I did have the adventure of driving I-81 last week on Monday... took over 7 hours to get from one end of VA to the other.
