In the AZ oven (Phoenix basin)
I just got an E-mail from UPS telling me I had a shipment coming. That's
fine, I ordered a shoulder holster, that should be it.

NOPE! It (what ever it is) is coming "DTC-BVILLE Customer Direct".
I look up DTC-BVILLE and find that it is customer direct wine shipments.
HUH?! I didn't order any wine AND have not had anything to drink
(beyond water and soda pop) in about eight years.

Now either the interweb suddenly has dozens of bad web pages on ONE
subject, OR . . UPS has screwed it up, OR something crazy is going on.

Ain't computenators fun?

Are you sure the email came from UPS ?
I get emails that are from ( supposedly ) UPS and Fedex saying I have something coming and it is nothing but a scam trying to get info from me.
Scammers are pretty clever these days and can make it look legit when it is not.

SCAM, Phishing, I get e-mails all the time thanking me for my order and how much was charged to my CC, they provide a link to check the order and so forth, once you click on the link who knows what the bug will be, virus, ransom ware, they hope you're gullible enough to click because that's one way to hook you.

I don't know what you use for an email program but most email programs will show the email address where the email came from. Did it start with UPS?.

Or you can hover your mouse pointer over any link in the email and it should display where that link will take you. It should start with UPS.com/xxxxxxxxx with the "X's" being some sub department of UPS.

I get lots of emails where the links don't take you where you think they should. I never click on the link without checking to see where the address will take me.
