Her drawers are full

Like many woodworkers, I make various kitchen implements and today my wife said one of the wooden spatula's I made a few years ago needed sanding, etc.

I offered to make her a new one of hard maple. But she said please don't, her drawers are already full. :lol: :lol:

It's a guy thing. :wink:

My wife has never used that as an excuse to purchase another unidentified gadget that will save time/money/fuel or something in the kitchen. There's no such thing as a full junk drawer. That's right. I said it. Junk drawer.
I need a knife to cut stuff, a pot to cook stuff, and a scraper to, uh, scrape stuff. That's it.. That's all I need.

Whew; :roll: :roll: Her "DRAWERS ARE FULL" sounded like completely different topic. With my daughter when she was little, you could ALWAYS tell when her "drawers" were full; from across the room. :shock: :shock: :shock: :roll: :roll: :wink:

She may like to have more drawers! I know my wife's says she does not have enough drawer space. Next comes the remodel of the kitchen!

The trouble is, When you start going through the drawes, you end up deciding "I'might' need this someday" and it stays in the drawer. I bet you guys go through the same thing in your workshop drawers.

Of course CG I'm a tool hoarder, then I just can't seem to throw out nails, screws, bolts, wire, etccccc... I need more drawers too.

My Father-in-Law was a collector of wood working tools; If you thought about doing something, he'd reach into a drawer and his work bench and give you a choice of three or four to do it with !!
He kept the blade on his table saw so sharp that even when he "Ripped" a board, you'd swear it had been sanded smooth. If you even thought about touching that blade, your finger started to bleed.
What ever he built of wood was Nailed, Screwed AND Glued; He made a dish rack out of Mahoganey for our liveaboard ketch one time and apologized for how WIDE a seam was ; I couldn't even SEE the seam.
