HELP!!! Mark III, reassembled but clicking trigger!

Hello,

My friend recently put my mag in backwards. This inspired me (through force) to strip the entire pistol down. I have spent a few days in my spare time learning it, assembled it several times, it fires no problem.

However, there is a distinct CLICK coming from the trigger assembly. More specifically it is coming from the trigger disconnect rod. I have followed exploded diagrams, following the instructions on Bullseye's site (seems to be the definitive source for mark III info), but to no avail - nothing I do seems to remove the click.

With the barrel removed, I can actually SEE the disconnect rod slip slightly and make the sound. To re-create the sound, I have to pull back and release the bolt SLIGHTLY (or when stripped, depress the disconnect lever), and it appears again.

It's driving me crazy. I'm thinking I assembled something wrong in the hammer assembly, but I can't see what it might be.

Anyone have some input? Please, this double click is going to make it quite difficult to shoot effectively!

As long as your MkIII has been properly reassembled and the gun fires normally, there is nothing you can do about that double click, which is indeed the mag disconnect feature, when you shoot. Well, actually there is. You can always install a MkII hammer bushing and thus remove the disconnect mechanism. I have been meaning to do that yet I never actually get the parts... :(
