I am hoping to buy an lcr22 soon. for those more experienced than me I have a question. the lcr22 is often 80 to 100 cheaper on some web sites than in the lgs in my area I realize there are ffl fees, but can I use the internet prices to bargain? with thanks in advance

Depends on your gun shop. Some will match Internet prices. but personally, I wouldn't ask one to. I like to fondle a gun before I buy, and I support local businesses.

I agree. I wouldnt ask. There is a gun shop in my area that are rather large and take advantage of anybody they can. They are rude and disrespectful in my opinion. I had spent $1000s in their store and they would not even drop the price of a 38 LCR to what i could order one from Gallery of guns Through their store, they were asking about $30-35 bucks more if memory serves me right.

Just depends on how the place is really. with guns sales being up i would be surprised.if.prices.will be lowered. Someone will come through and pay that price.

Good luck.

I usually ask if there is any "wiggly room" on the price, or ask if there is a cash discount. They have to increase their prices slightly to compensate for the credit card fees, so cash is king! I agree it would be in bad form to say "I can get this on line for alot less". They have overhead, and the convienence of having a local gun shop to do business with is worth supporting. Ed
