I REALLY like the MP5 and this came up at PSA this week. HK MP5 9" .22 LR Semi-auto Pistol for $369.99 (regularly $599.99). Soooo, I bought one. Once the fall out from eliminating the $200 NFA tax stamp is all over, I'll probably SBR it.

why?? we learned a LONG time go , when very young back in the late 50s from shooting left over ,bring home ,military arms, various friends in the neighbor hood, that yes, they were fun cutting down trees and shooting up old cars at the dump, they were NOT conducive to good marksmanship and a TOTAL waste of ammo, both 9mm, as well as 45 acp for the 1927 Thompson, 30 carbine, etc., , and the ammo we shot was free (also left over bring home) some Dads really got pissed at us for shooting it all up,oh well............whatever floats your boat I guess, just my .02 cents must be getting old.:cool::rolleyes:
......cannot shoot like that today in the neighborhood ,all built up and urban, would have to go to Knob Creek to have that much fun..........:(

Well, it's a .22LR. not a select fire, semi auto only. I have also shot full auto MP5's, suppressed and unsuppressed and had a lot of fun. This gun is one to just have fun with since I can't afford a centerfire MP5, especially a full auto. 2 weeks ago I transferred one to a customer who bought it when PSA had a daily special on it. I thought about it and last week checked PSA and they weren't on sale and they were marked out of stock. Checked 2 days ago and they had them as a Christmas special so I "pulled the trigger" and ordered it as a present for myself.

I have a SIG MPX, semi auto .177 pellet rifle (powered by a big CO2 cylinder in the stock) and it's fun to shoot. The grandkids love shooting it and the granddaughter is a dead eye with the red dot. So when I handled the MP5 that I was transferring to my customer I thought this would be great to add to the fun guns stable.

I will let y'all know how it shoots.

I have almost purchased in of those so many times that I can’t keep count. I have heard everything from “most fun gun ever” to “pot metal Zamak clunker”. So I never went for it.

Some day I still want to buy a receiver flat and a parts kit and build my own 9mm.
