Hey Gang! I purchased a used ruger mark II a while back and just now getting around to checking it out. I guess I had a "meathead" moment and didn't even pull the bolt back before buying it. Anyhow, when I just tried to pull the bolt back it would not come all the way back. I have taken it almost all the way apart but I cannot get the bolt out of the upper.
How can I remove the bolt out of the barrel?
Please help me!

DISREGARD!!! I had screwed my filler screw too far into the upper receiver. The screw that fills in the hole where the base goes. Dummy me! Thanks!!!!

good time to remind folks that there are "plug" screws out there that a called 'positive stop' and have a slight head almost flat on them that will not allow the 'plug' ( in this case 'filler screw) to screw on into the hole, deeper and deeper, they "stop" at the top , sit flush , and look better besides.......glad you were able to figure this out right away.over the years have seen folks put too long a screw into the scope or optics base and right down through ,into the bolt,AND some have even OVER "loctited' the whole works "in place"..hate when that happens..................
