Has anyone put a scope on their GP 100 4" bbl?

Sorry don't have any pictures of it on the GP, but yes I did.

Worked great, modified a B-square for a blackhawk. Made new down clamps out of stainless. They didn't make a scope mount for the GP's.

I bought mine when they first came out.

I know lots of folks have scoped their 6" gp100's but I am interested in how to scope a 4". I have not been able to find mounting hardware for the 4" but there are kits for the 6". RugerForMe seemed to find a way to do it and I would love to see pictures of the gun with it installed. Looks like there was quite a bit of modification to make it work.

This is exactly what I would want if there was a kit for the 4". This is for the 6": http://www.jackweigand.com/Ruger-GP100-Scope-Mounts-No-Drill.html

At the time there were no real mods. Only had to make the new side clamps. The screw, blade, spacer and loc-washer were what replaced the original rear sight.

The clamps for the blackhawk were uneven do to the ejector rod, I copied the longer and made two new ones with a bit more bite.

But unfortunately B-square changed there design, and I no longer work in a machine shop.

Its the reason I still have this. Keep telling myself I'm going to get another GP100.

Action arms used to make one for the GP100 4" but I don't believe they still make them. Was one on the evil eBay and awhile go.

I just received some great news. The scope mount that I want will be available in about two weeks. It's a No drill, No tap mount that attaches where your current sights are. Here is the link to the web page for anyone that is interested: http://jackweigand.com/Ruger-GP100-Scope-Mounts-No-Drill.html There is a good "Youtube video as well.
