Indeed.

I fly a flag every day, just because. But today, as on a few other special days like Memorial Day, I fly my grandfather's flag. It has only 48 stars, but I can recall "helping" him put it up every "Fourth of July" and it means something super special to me.

I truly believe that back in the day, GOD did bless this nation. Sadly, I also believe we've lost that blessing. Enjoy the heck out of today, celebrate it grandly, but think about what might be done to regain GOD's blessing. We need it. I'm heading out to the garage to decorate the ATV's for the parade. Gotta haul tables for the potluck/buffet meal, etc.. Block party ! Last year got asked to dispatch a rabid raccoon. Hope to avoid that kinda excitement today though.
