Handloader Magazines

Appears that I may be getting a complete set of Handloader magazines by Wolfe Publishing. Does anyone know of a good outlet to dispose of these if I get them? Jim

I would be doing this for a friend who lost his grandpa and has no interest in reloading and I'm too old for any more reloading.

I know they offer a complete set on DVD. If that is what you are getting, I'd love to discuss getting them. However, if you have a full set of printed magazines, then I'd seriously like to discuss buying the first few years of them.

Contender; Thanks for your reply. These are the print set of 2 years in each binder. I'll keep you in mind if I get them. They should make up their mind soon. Jim

Put them in the classified section, someone will need them. I hear some fellers badmouth that magazine, but I like it. It's one of the very few magazines that keep me in touch with my hobby when I can't shoot or reload...

I like my DVD set. I get the yearly update ever year to both handloader and rifle. It is so much easier to do key word searches with the DVD's then the paper prints. If I want the article, just hit the print to the color laser printer.

I toss my paper copies as soon as I get my yearly update.

Often it's more a matter of health than age. Not all of us age as gracefully as others. I already have serious health issues and I'm considerably younger than you are. If I live long enough, there will come a time when I am "too old" to reload, shoot , or ride my motorcycle. That will probably happen some time well before 75...in fact, if I reach 75 my cardiologist will be even more surprised than he was when I passed 55... :)

My father didn't reach "too old" for most activities until he was in his early 80's. Unfortunately, I take after mom's side and most of her people were all dead before 60...

Oh, I wasn't offended, sorry if my post came off that way. I just thought it was worth pointing out that sometimes it's not the model year but the mileage on the odometer. LOL

too old to reload? If you look in the ammo cans and have said I need use some of this stuff up and then do it what else can you do but reload some more to fill them back up. Or even bigger reason is buy a gun in a cal you don't load as yet cause that really kicks it in. I m 83 and I just ordered a custom ss sbh from Dave Clements in a cal I did not load and have on the work bench a 1903 savage that needs a new butt stock so I don't plan to go anywhere soon.. Besides that the oldest boy is a bigger gun nut than I am he is probably the reason you could not buy 22 and such . So at least I don't have to worry about all that stuff going to waste.. don k
