I like the extra grips offered on shopruger.com and have picked up two sets. And while they look nice, you don't get to hand pick your grips of course. They pick for you.
I went searching for SR1911 grips on eBay and found this gentleman from Costa Rica who is turning out beautiful Cocobolo root wood and spalted Brazilian Cherry grips. Some are done in the Eagle Wings, some with Ruger factory medallions.
I bought one set and received them in last week. The pictures don't do these grips justice.
Mine are the Cocobolo root wood.
