Gunsmith for Bisley

I have a Ruger Bisley 45 LC that I really like. I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good gunsmith to get it tuned up. The trigger pull is to hard and I would like to make it easier to cock. On my other Blackhawks I put in a spring kit (trigger spring and main spring) and it works just fine. This Bisley when I install the spring kit the trigger won't return on it's own. I have to push the trigger back forward. Thank you

The trigger spring in the kit should return the trigger to battery with no problems. Before you spend money on a gunsmith, check the trigger assembly first for proper installation of the spring, that it's not binding on anything and moves freely and then check the trigger for any "drag" on the frame, etc. Does the "transfer bar" move freely on the trigger and not binding on anything? Make sure to put a drop of oil on the sides of the trigger, pin and transfer bar "stud". Look for any high spots on the sides of the trigger and frame. You may have to "shim" the trigger to get smooth movement if there is a large enough "gap" that allows the trigger to move sideways much on it's pin! Due to the way the extension on the top front of the BISLEY trigger fits into the grip frame during re-assembly, you MAY NOT be getting the trigger return spring into proper position. I have to push it into place with a very thin bladed screw driver.

I recently bought a used BISLEY that a previous owner installed a BLACKHAWK trigger in...probably out of frustration. A BLACKHAWK or SINGLE SIX trigger spring is a piece of cake compared to a BISLEY. I traded out 3 HUNTER grip frames onto Original Size VAQUEROS yesterday in the time it took to do one BISLEY...and a lot less bad language!
