sure enough, they dropped the ball on their members.

Some details . . .

The breach exposed reams of sensitive personal data for more than 550,000 users, including customers' full names, home addresses, email addresses, plaintext passwords and telephone numbers. Also, the stolen data allegedly makes it possible to link a particular person with the sale or purchase of a specific weapon.

"With this data, you can then take a public listing…and resolve it back to the [data in the stolen database] so you have the name, email and physical address and phone number of [the seller] and presumably, the location of the gun," Troy Hunt, a cybersecurity expert who runs the popular data breach repository and alerting service Have I BeenPwned, told TechCrunch. (The researcher who found the breach shared the data with Hunt so he can upload it to Have I BeenPwned.)

gun auction use to b a good place, but manny ran it into the ground.
fake account users were spamming and fake bidding to disrupt gun sales years ago and he did nothing to stop it.
now he got hacked real bad. i told him and the others there years ago to just let it die and start all over again, but some big name sellers demanded it stay open because it was all they had.

i will say, for years, the owner ran that company into the ground no concern for his customers. now, his hand has been forced, he'll have to do something about it or close it down.

Depends on what ( if any ) safeguards he had in place before the hack and how he handles the aftermath.

They already had almost all that info.
If you’ve ever completed a 4473 they know you own guns.
That’s all they need to know …. Not which or how many you have.
