I was wondering if anyone else in the Mid-Atlantic area is getting tired of rain? I can hear the grass growing. Mid May and I have the heat still on. As I type, 1010, this it is 54 degrees with 95 percent humidity.

Should be an awesome day to be in the infield at Pimlico, I actually cant remember the last 24 hour period where we didn't have rain. We had a couple of warm days so far but my anecdotal information is that it's been 20 degrees below normal for two months in addition to all the precipitation...

It's been raining here since Tuesday with thunderstorms and wind. We drove an hour in the rain last night to my grandson's band concert and halfway through it the power went out. A tree had fallen over the lines near the school and they told us it was over and to leave quickly and orderly. Another hour's drive back in the rain to get home. He had a soccer match rained out this morning too since the fields near Richmond were under water. I am as tired of this rain as the rest of you.

Forget to add that it rained all night and has rained all day. We're having another thunderstorm as I type. This is getting old!

So far this month I have received 6.92 inches of rain. Just today, so far, I have received 1.14 inches (as of 1645). More called for today and tomorrow. I wish there was some way to ship it somewhere else.arfmel said:

Usual Rainy season has started here in Florida, it comes with automatic pot holes in the dirt road in front of our place and some old "wash board" sections too. Next will come the Mosquito hordes, they always follow closely behind the "Love Bugs" who apparently ONLY live to have sex and to splatter on your windshield and etch the paint on your hood and fenders.

We've had rain all this past week. And then,, just yesterday evening,,, it was bad enough that I cancelled the monthly shooting match at my range due to standing water. Plus,,, the interstate,,, yes one of the main roads here got shut down due to 4 ft of water over it. I-26 near Columbus NC got covered to where they shut down I-26 in Hendersonville and below Columbus, to divert traffic away from the deep water. I've never hear of them shutting down the interstate.

As of 5:10 pm, 22 May, I have had 7.44 inches of rain this month. This is measured from my front porch weather station.
