Our local groundhog said an early spring for us. Confirmed by our local white squirrel forecaster.

It might have been because they heard that if they got it wrong,, they would become dinner.

Bee Cave Bob didn’t see his shadow on Friday, and around here that’s the only forecast we need.
No offense to Punxsutawney Phil, but we’ll trust a Texas armadillo over a Pennsylvania groundhog any day of the week.

I'm about ready to take out that oversized hamster. -5 here this morning in N/E TN, and even with the heat blasting, managed to freeze the water line to the master bath toilet (the only line in the house that runs inside an outside wall). Managed to defrost it without damage with a space heater blowing right onto the wall. Thank goodness Pex is a little more forgiving of freezing than copper or PVC. When I moved here, I didn't know Montana was going to send its winter weather down here.
